About the opportunity
Kindergarten Inclusion Support offers assistance to kindergartens within North Western and South Western Metropolitan Melbourne, to support the inclusion of children with disabilities.
The role of the Additional Assistant Educator is to fully support Early Childhood Educators in providing an inclusive program for all children in the kindergarten.
We are looking for motivated self-starters who have the ability to work under direction with some degree of autonomy to ensure positive outcomes for children.
We are seeking staff to work in the following local government areas:
- Banyule
- Darebin
- Hume
- Moreland
- Nillumbik
- Whittlesea
- Yarra
The primary functions of this role include:
- Working in collaboration with Kindergarten staff to provide an inclusive quality program for all children.
- To provide support to Kindergarten staff to ensure the inclusion of children with a disability.

About you
The ideal candidate will have:
- Preferred experience working in a kindergarten environment.
- Preferred experience working with children with disabilities.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Flexibility in working conditions with the ability to work across multiple sites.
- Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent (desirable).
